Synopsis

From the studio that brought you "Shrek," "Madagascar" and "Kung Fu Panda" comes "How To Train Your Dragon" -- an adventure comedy set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, based on the book by Cressida Cowell.

The story centers around a Viking teenager, who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. Initiation is coming, and this is his one chance to prove his worthiness to his tribe and father. But when he encounters, and ultimately befriends, an injured dragon, his world is turned upside down.

Stellar cast includes Jay Baruchel as Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, an easy-going, quick-witted and kind boy. He is the son of the chief who wanted to make his father proud.

Gerard Butler as Stoick the Vast who is the Chief of the Hairy Hooligan tribe and father to Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III.

America Ferrera as Astrid who has been training for initiation all her life. She is fit, strong and is saddled with the smallest loser of a partner, Hiccup.

Also cast as Snotlout, the bully, is Jonah Hill. Snotlout, ironically, is a paragon of virtue in the Viking world. In a village where "Only the strong can belong!" he belongs, big time. He resents the irritating fact that the weakling, Hiccup, is next in line for the Viking throne. But even he will learn from Hiccup about real leadership.

Another interesting figure is Fishlegs voiced by Christopher Mintz - Plasse. He is big in size but small in brains. If everyone else is on the same page, you c an bet that he has the wrong book. And it's probably upside down.

Craig Ferguson is the voice of Gobber the Belch. He is the Hairy Hooligan's second in command, in service to Stoick. He's been in tough situations in the past and is missing a couple of limbs to prove it. Now he is assigned the daunting task of making sure Hiccup passes Initiation. He begrudgingly accepts "babysitting" the boss's son but is won over when he realizes Hiccup's true worth.

Kristen Wiig and TJ Miller is cast as Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston who are fraternal twins. Tuffnut is a boy and Ruffnut is a girl. Both are fiendish thugs with greasy braids, bad tempers and are constantly at each other's throats.

The film is produced by Bonnie Arnold and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. How toTrain Your Dragon is released and distributed by United International Pictures thru Solar Entertainment Corp. and will be in Theaters everywhere this March. [ source : ClickTheCity]
